Online Icon Painting Online Course - The Holy Prophet Eljiah PART 1: Drawing and Design

Learn how to draw and design an icon of the Holy Prophet Elijah based on the superb image found in the medieval glass of Canterbury Cathedral. This is a groundbreaking course looking at a style often overlooked especially among iconographers who are more familiar with eastern styles of icons.

This is a recording of the original course given from Dec. 11-14th 2025. There will be another course in January when we will paint the icon based on the design made during this course. However, each course stands on it own. 

Geometric patterns, exercises to discover the distinctive style and a copy of the final design are provided.

This is part of the on-going Academy Course in Icon Painting and follows our usual pattern.
